Native Scientist partners with the Association of Brazilian Researchers and Students in the NL
A new partnership to increase the reach and engagement of Portuguese-speaking communities in the Netherlands.
Native Scientist has teamed up with APEB-NL to increase the reach and engagement of local communities in the Netherlands
APEB-NL was created with the aim of maintaining scientific and cultural interactions between Brazil and the Netherlands. Both organizations, APEB-NL and Native Scientist, share the common goal of fostering cooperation between scientific and local communities. This partnership will allow the organisation of new Native School workshops in the Netherlands, in which researchers will go to schools to explain scientific topics to 6-12 years old pupils in their mother tongue.
Joana Moscoso, co-founder of Native Scientist, on this partnership: "We are extremely pleased to be partnering up with APEB in the Netherlands. The agile, responsive and clear-sighted approach with which APEB embarked on this partnership was something that stood out and it will most definitely translate into a benefit for the wider society. The idea is to organise workshops with Brazilian scientists that will reach Portuguese-speaking migrant pupils in the Netherlands.”

It brings together undergraduate and graduate students and Brazilian researchers residents or former residents of the Netherlands to facilitate and promote scientific and cultural development of this Brazilian community.
